Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) – Symptoms, Side Effects & Treatment
Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) is a respiratory virus causing symptoms similar to the flu or common cold. It primarily affects children, older adults, and those with weak immune systems. Side effects include cough, fever, nasal congestion, shortness of breath, and wheezing. In severe cases, it can lead to pneumonia or bronchitis.
There is no specific cure for HMPV, but supportive care helps recovery. Treatment includes rest, hydration, fever reducers (like acetaminophen), and oxygen therapy in severe cases. To prevent infection, practice good hygiene, wash hands regularly, and avoid close contact with infected individuals. No vaccine exists yet, but research continues.
Kidney Stones – Causes, Root Disease & Prevention
Kidney stones are hard mineral and salt deposits that form in the kidneys due to dehydration, high oxalate intake, or metabolic disorders. Root causes include chronic dehydration, high calcium or uric acid levels, obesity, and certain medical conditions like hyperparathyroidism or urinary tract infections. Symptoms include severe pain in the lower back, blood in urine, nausea, and frequent urination.
Treatment includes drinking plenty of water, pain relievers, and medications to break stones. In severe cases, lithotripsy or surgery may be needed. Prevent kidney stones by staying hydrated, reducing sodium, and eating a balanced diet low in oxalates.
Sperm Deficiency: Also known as low sperm count (oligospermia), it reduces fertility and may be caused by hormonal imbalances, lifestyle, or medical conditions. Treatment includes lifestyle changes, medications, or assisted reproductive techniques.
